Gender mainstreaming – tools and good examples

With the purpose of promoting gender mainstreaming at municipal level the Department of Gender Equality has developed two different tools on how to gender mainstream and a film featuring concrete examples on how to gender mainstream local level initiatives.

The tool will help you perform gender assessments of recommendations put to local authorities.

To avoid basing your work on presumptions of the conditions, needs and activities of women and men you must gather knowledge, data and statistics segregated by gender.

The tool will help you to map and analyse differences between the sexes by working with gender segregated data.
